What does it take to root deep in the Earth so that we may rise to meet these great times of epochal change we are living in? As Animists, aware of our deep connections to land and all life on this planet, we cannot be blind to the socio-political and environmental challenges of these times. Some might ask, ‘why am I alive right now?’ or ‘what do I have to offer?’ The old ones would say it is because we have a gift to offer, a capacity that our world needs.
We are not the first peoples to live through great and difficult change. The myths and history of all Indigenous cultures recall memories of such times and guidance on how to meet them.
