The ancient myths of the Mabinogi often feel inaccessible and alien, but they hold rich, ancient lore and were probably teaching stories, aspects of which date back to Celtic prehistory and beyond, and yet they continue to hold profound story-medicine for us today.

In this third Tuesday evening salon, we'll get to know Arianrhod, the lead female character of the first part of the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi. Lunar Goddess, representation of Fate, sorceress, frustrated initiator, mother, abused sister? There are many aspects to her, and her story is often misunderstood. During the evening Angharad will tell the First part of the Fourth Branch in sections and offer different ways of understanding Arianrhod - from literary, mythological, archaeological and cultural perspectives.
