The ancient myths of the Mabinogi often feel inaccessible and alien, but they hold rich, ancient lore and were probably teaching stories, aspects of which date back to Celtic prehistory and beyond, and yet they continue to hold profound story-medicine for us today.

In this second Tuesday evening salon, we'll get to know Rhiannon, the lead female character of the First and Third Branches of the Mabinogi. Ancient Horse Goddess, Otherworldly being, Initiator, Sovereignty of the Land? There are many aspects to her, and her story is often misunderstood. During the Angharad will offer different ways of understanding Rhiannon and her association with the horse - from literary, mythological, archaeological and cultural perspectives. Then, it's over to you to discuss and share further ideas and insights in small groups, before bringing your discussions back to the bubbling cauldron of inspiration so that we can all learn and contemplate further.
