THE CAVE - VOICES FROM THE OTHERWORLD
Thu, 12 May
|Embercombe
Once the art and practice of prophecy was a part of human culture the world over. In times of crisis oracles, those who could commune with the creative force of nature, would descend to the darkness to consult with the gods, to dream with the earth, to visit with the soul of the world itself.

About the event
This is for all those who feel a pull towards the depths, the imaginal, the dream of the earth, for those who yearn to work in true partnership with the creative forces and flows of nature. No visioning experience or aptitude is necessary – as deeply connected parts of nature, we each have our unique and individual dream of the earth to bring to this collective imagining.
They knew that by working with the force of nature, that which resides in the very matter of the universe, in the blades of grass, in the winds that blow, that they could change the world. At this moment of great change for us, as we stand on the very edge of what is possible for the human species, perhaps there is something important we have forgotten. What is it that we have lost that has allowed the great mystery of life on earth to flee from our lives. Where does magic now reside in the world and how can we possibly bring it back?
During our time in the cave, we will be bringing together scholars, explorers, imagineers, practitioners – both ancient and modern-day visionaries to inspire and help to light our way. Through an alchemical mix of knowledge, wisdom and practice, through listening to others, to our deep soul-selves and to the mystery of the dark, we aim to imagine ourselves to a place of collective vision and prophecy.
We will be learning to sense the future with our bodies, through age-old divination practices, through seership and scrying, through poetry, through our collective dreams. Above all we will sit together, bringing forth our own dreams and imaginings of the future, our soul-seeds of wisdom and those fragments of the dream of the earth that we can each uncover and offer in service to the transformation of the world.
Who will comeWe are seeking wild adventurers and deep dreamers, those prepared to explore the outer reaches of their imagination and be immersed in new experience. We will ask you to leave the familiar behind and step into the darkness of the cave at this fractured moment in our history with the courage to witness new futures waiting to emerge.
Do you long to align yourself with the dream of the earth, to hear the voice of the deep, to feel belonging in the dark, to be in service to mystery? Join us.
