About the event

This magical day pilgrimage explores the earliest British Grail myth, Peredur. It was the source of Chretien de Troyes Perceval, the better known Grail story absorbed into the cannon of Arthurian myth.

We will trace a route of 8.5 miles around the Romano-Celtic settlement of Caerwent in south east Wales, walking the story through a landscape steeped with the shadows of the Silures and Romano Celtic history and archaeology, a land that resonates with secrets and ancient gods to unearth the stories held in its stones.

As Peredur sets out on a quest to find out who he is, so will we. Just as he encounters guides to aid his journey, we’ll acknowledge and honour our own. This is a pilgrimage of self-knowledge and sovereignty, about gratitude for the treasures in our lives. Ultimately, it is about recognising the true nature of the grail and embracing it.

£10 donation secures your place. All donations for this day will go to Extinction Rebellion.
